Starbucks Ice Cream

While I am a huge Starbucks addict, I can take or leave ice cream.I was excited, though, to see the Starbucks line of ice cream in TSC  freezer section. If it’s anything as good as the coffee, it was at least worth trying.

Starbucks App’s for iPhone & iTouch

“myStarbucks” is a pretty simplistic application, the idea of the app is to allow users to know where their local Starbucks is, it also allows you to create your own drinks and even see nutritional information on your drink of choice.

Modern Family

October 2, 2009 · Leave a Comment

modern-family-050809

This truly is the tale of one big dysfunctional family, stretched out into three smaller ones,This show focuses around three separate family settings in which we have a ‘traditional’ family, a multicultural and age gaping family, and a gay couple who just adopted a baby girl. In the end all of the three families are related and they come together to show their love and support for each other. This show has a great array of characters, interest storyline, concept, and overall idea that is both funny and entertaining. Worth taking a look if you have done so already. Now after watching the first episode of this show and a few other clips online I have plans to keep watching this show in the future and I hope that it gets even funnier from here. This show gets 8.5 out of 10 because of the slow intro and a few lagging moments in the middle but overall a great show.

Eastwick

October 2, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Oh, Eastwick. Where did you go wrong? Your show has witches, Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, Sara Rue, a talented show runner and some respectable source material. So why is this rendition of Eastwick, at least as evidenced by the pilot, so unbelievably cheesy and dull?

Big Love season 3

I will admit, the storylines are all very similar. They all revolve around either Bill having some issue with his wives or Bill struggling against people who are trying to keep him from the business deals he wants to make happen. (This season is focused on making Weber Gaming a success and all the trouble the getting into gambling is causing him and his family). The thing is, even though there is a predictable pattern of going back and forth between family drama and work drama, all the people in Bill’s life continue to evolve and we continue to see them grow and struggle.

I truly hope this show is renewed for a few more seasons. I am still very invested in these characters and want to know what happens to them.

Ugly Betty Season 3″A bit of a disappointment after the first two seasons”

I hate to give less than a good rating for this show, partly because I enjoyed it so much in the first two seasons and partly because it is part of a format under siege from the networks, long story arc TV. But sadly I think the show lost a lot of its force. More about this further down.

The 5 stages of grief

October 2, 2009 · Leave a Comment

grief

There are five stages of grief. If we get stuck in one stage or the other, the process of grieving is not complete, and cannot be complete. Thus there will be no healing. A person MUST go through the five stages to be well again, to heal. Not everyone goes through the stages at the same time. It is different for each person. You cannot force a person through the stages, they have to go at their own pace, and you may go one step forward then take two steps backward, but this is all part of the process, and individual to each person. But, as stressed, ALL five stages must be completed for healing to occur.

//

The five stages of grief are:

1-Denial-”this can’t be happening to me”, looking for the former spouse in familia places, or if it is death, setting the table for the person or acting as if they are still in living there. No crying. Not accepting or even acknowledging the loss.

2-Anger-”why me?”, feelings of wanting to fight back or get even with spouse of divorce, for death, anger at the deceased, blaming them for leaving.
